  • Nope! I am not an SEO expert and not even the pros can guarantee those kind of results. However, we do build your website with SEO best practices in mind and can help you setup all your analytic tracking services as an add-on. We also have articles on leveraging your Google Business Profile - a completely free Google marketing tool that is very powerful for attracting local leads.

    SEO is a long game not a set-it-and-forget situation. It involves more than just a strategically designed website and includes things such as:

    • Blogging

    • Social Traffic

    • Video Content

    • Getting Backlinks (other sites linking to your site)

    • Google Business Profile

    • Quality Content (Very important)

    Many more topics can play into your organic search engine optimization (SEO) and consistently showing up for your business online helps you reach that page one status on Google.

  • Absolutely! All of our custom and semi-custom websites have pages directly on your website that will house our video tutorials for you to reference any time the need arises. These pages also include exclusive resources you can only find in your Website Docs pages in your website. They will contain helpful links and resources for managing your website on your own and how to get help when needed.

  • Everyone’s business will have different integration needs, you can see some of my favorite tools for small businesses like yours on our Digital Toolbox page. Below you will find a list of other expenses you can expect outside of your package price.

    YOU WILL NEED:

    ✔️ Domain Name: annual fee typically costing around $20/year unless you buy a premium domain. I recommend getting this directly through Squarespace to keep it all easy and in one place.

    ✔️ Squarespace Hosting Plan depending on what features you need the price can vary, but most service provider packages will want either the Personal or Business plan – you can check out current monthly/yearly pricing here.

    ✔️ Website Policy Templates: while there are free templates you can use for this content I highly recommend you choose a software like Termageddon that keeps your website legally protected on a continual basis. A free template is static and doesn’t come close to covering all the relevant laws. You can read more about why I choose Termageddon for myself here. Having a privacy policy and website terms is a requirement for working with Panhandle Design. We want to set you up for success and these are important part of the design process.

  • I have an automated system in place that will walk us through every step of the design process from onboarding to off-boarding your project. This ensures no steps are missed with your website and keeps us on schedule. Part of those automations will be emails sent out to you for collecting your website copy and content (website words and images). Every step of the way you will know what we need to keep your project moving on time.

    All homework will be due at least 1-week prior to the start of your project. If your homework is not turned in on time it can cause delays for your project, as I typically have other projects booked after yours. Should this happen I can no longer guarantee your project will be completed within our scheduled timeframe.

    Rest assured though – you will get reminders and easy to fill-out forms for collecting all information I need for your web design project.

  • At time of booking we require a 25% non-refundable retainer to hold your place in our project schedule. 25% will be due at start of project (prior to designing taking place) and 50% final payment due prior to the launch and transfer of your project.

  • Nope! This is not something I can or should do for you. I highly recommend you check out this blog post on why I love Termageddon for getting your website legal pages completed. You can use my link here for a discount. They even walk you through setting up your own policies.

  • Yes – you will need specific items for your website such as a favicon (icon at the top of your browser), header and footer logos, color palette, and font selections. We do offer a mini brand add-on service if this is something you will need help with prior to your website build.

  • You will! We equip you to easily manage your own website and teach you how to make easy edits as needed. Should you wish to hire us for more major changes we would love to help, but all our websites are built with the small business owners in mind. I never want you to feel like you need to hire a designer for every small change.

  • Yes we provide you with a guide for sourcing and picking your photos for your website. Some other options are hiring a photographer to take professional “brand” photos of you at work which is always a good idea for a website. If the budget doesn’t allow for a photographer we can brainstorm other options for your custom website.

  • Yes and no for this question.

    Yes we can get started on your website homework and get prepared for your web design project once you’ve paid your retainer fee/signed your contract to book your project on my calendar.

    Typically I book out one to two months in advance for custom and semi-custom projects. This means no I won’t necessarily be able to design your website one to two weeks from booking, but we can prepare for your project and ensure it all get’s done on schedule!
